Why does leipzig look the way it does today?
What has shaped the city and how did all the different neighborhoods develop? which are all connected to each other?
In every era of contemporary history, buildings were demolished, filled in and rebuilt. On the sightseeing tour, we travel through many centuries of of the city's history: Old and new, irritating and memorable things characterize the image of Leipzig and its surroundings.
Exploring the city by bike offers so much more than with any other means of transportation. You see more, hear more and experience more. Our tour begins with the famous sightseeing street "Karl-Liebknecht" with its its old buildings and lovely little stores and restaurants. The route then leads to Augustusplatz, where you will find many different buildings from different different eras; it also passes the MDR Tower, the memorial church, the opera house and the memorial church, the opera house and the Mendebrunnen fountain.
Our own enthusiasm for this city always accompanies us. Fun is our top priority, but challenging and interesting topics need not be neglected. We are also happy to take up your topics and interests with sensitivity and provide you with an overview. In this way you are well equipped for your own explorations and your next tour.

Over many years, people from Leipzig have created a vibrant culture in public spaces that showcase their own ideas of beauty and creativity. In addition to classic graffiti and urban farming, we visit many projects on this bike tour where the line between authorized and illegal exhibits is blurred.

First through Leipzig, then through the meadow landscape, finally to the lakes that were once open-cast brown coal mines! A fascinating mix of water and culture, past and present.
Here the natural watercourses connect the culture city of Leipzig with its surrounding recently created lakes.
Besides many interesting historical facts, this bike tour is a top one for relaxing and enjoying nature.
The landscape was given a new face after the end of the brown coal era after the breakdown of the German Democratic Republic, so that we now can visit all the little sights along beautiful bike trails and cycle through the landscape's transformation process of time.
Starting with the small canals that meander through the city, the route takes us to the famous Lake Cospuden. This is followed by Lake Markleeberg, which is rich in sporting events, and finally we take in the sweeping views of Lake Stürmthal before returning to the green city through the floodplain landscape. This tour explores the many recreational areas of Leipzig and is particularly suitable for a longer stay, you will be well prepared after this tour.

On an individual city tour by bike, one of our guides will set off exclusively with you or your group. Choose your own route length, duration, date, refreshment stops, starting time and if you like the delivery of the bikes to your accommodation (for a little extra charge)—everything can be freely arranged with us.
Our experienced team will be happy to put together a program for you: Whether it's to the classic sights or to trendy neighborhoods or rather to quiet places in Leipzig's New Lakes region, is entirely up to you. A private tour is entirely your event and we look forward to your suggestions.

You can also hire our bikes to explore the city on your own. There are city bikes, bikes with child seats and children's bikes available.
The Leipzig-Biketours bikes can also be rented without a tour.

For group bookings of 10 people or more, we can offer individual prices on request.
We rent out city bikes with derailleur gears or 3-speed coaster hubs for women and men; all bikes with a practical rear bicycle basket.
Children's bikes in sizes 16-26 inches are also available and for the very little ones there are seat and trailer.
